Cooking and Baking Gift Set

Every year I have a different Birthday gift that I give all of the girls that we know for their birthday.
This is my gift idea this year.

You can find a lot of good cooking/baking tools at the dollar store that will work really well for little chefs.

Everything shown here, I found at the dollar store, including the baking sheet.  They also carry the shoe box size containers to put everything in.

One time I even found an apron at the dollar store that I cut shorter and added lace to the bottom.  I copied that apron to make a pattern and added some trim to make the apron above.

Homemade Wrapping Paper

So I had this idea of making homemade wrapping paper as a fun project for a family night.
I had a roll of construction paper from Ikea ($5) and I just used craft paint and gave each child a color.
We made hot cocoa and played Christmas music to kick off December.

First I had the kids put their hand prints all over the paper.

Then I let them go a little crazy!

I tore strips of fabric to make the bows.

Then I used my die cut machine and chip board to make initials for each kiddo so we know who they belong to.  The kids love seeing their work on the presents they get to open and they have said they want to make wrapping paper every year!
